I have just joined IMDB and saw a post on the mamma mia boared from an obvious fan of abba. Dont get me wrong i like both dark knight and mamma mia. Please no biased answers! please be non biased. 1. Did mamma mia really make more money then dark knight globally, i presume they mean world wide? 2. is that chart out of date or accurate? 3. Does the site in the link about have an internationall chart, ie non US chart - overseas etc? 4. Q. I grew up watching his adventure films. I am a huge fan of his. i got all of his movies in my dvd collection. Yet ive come to realise that ever since he won the oscar for Schindlers list, he ceased making those adventure box office breaking flicks. The lost world was ok, a bit preachy with that stuff about saving the world and environment and stuff. Saving Private Ryan was the highest grossing movie of 1998, But what else? Catch me if you can sucks, The terminal sucks big time. Minority Report is a good one and although i liked it many people say it wasnt so huge a phenomenon. I can't give up on Spielberg just yet. I believe he's a better storyteller than George Lucas. IMO if Spielberg had his way with the story and left Lucas completely out of the mix, then this latest Indy adventure might have been better. After all, he helped give Transformers a direction with the movie basically being about a boy and his car and the responsibility that comes with it. In the end, every director has hits and misses.
